Academic
Tutoring
A+ offers tutoring in all subject areas, from kindergarten
through college level.
We offer optional diagnostic testing in Math, Reading,
and Spelling. Note: diagnostic testing is recommended
for students in grades K-8. You will receive a detailed
score report outlining the student's strengths and weaknesses.
Based upon these test results and other information
you provide about your student, your student's tutor(s)
will be given a series of recommendations. The recommendations
will include appropriate grade level for instruction
and specific skills and topics to be covered.
In addition, with your permission, we will contact your
child's teacher(s) to help us better determine the student's
needs and to coordinate our efforts.
Please note: In order to achieve the best results we
recommend that you continue tutoring for at least two
marking periods.

subject tests: Literature, US History, World History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, French
- Mathematics: Arithmetic,
Algebra 1 and 2,
Geometry, Trigonometry/Analysis/Pre-calculus,

skills, reading comprehension.
- English: writing skills, grammar, vocabulary building.
- Science: Physical Science, Earth Science, Biology,
Chemistry, Physics.
- Social Studies: U.S. History, World History, Geography
- Languages: Spanish, French, German, Latin.
- Study strategies, reading speed improvement,
and organizational skills
- College essays,
Private school entrance exams

- Customized programs for the alternative learner
(students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, and/or
attention deficit disorders).
