Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Educational Reference, Learning Disabilities November 6th, 2009 No CommentsThe SEAT program is a twelve session program designed for parents, educators, clinicians, lawyers- and anyone who is interested in special education, including kids with learning issues. Topics include preparing for IEPs, understanding and utilizing evaluations, advocacy skills and more. Attendees have the option of attending one, several, or all of the sessions. Act 48 and CEU credits will be given.The facilitator, Dr. Marie Lewis, is a well known disability expert and is on the faculty of the National Special Education Advocacy Institute. Last year, over 1000 people attended a similar training conducted by Dr. Lewis for the ARC of Chester County. For more information click on the following link:

Both a federal holiday and a state holiday in all states, it is usually observed on November 11. However, if it occurs on a Sunday then the following Monday is designated for holiday leave, and if it occurs Saturday then either Saturday or Friday may be so designated.[1] It is also celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world, falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. (Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.)
